Pauline Nicol-Bowie : CEO & Founder
I am the CEO AND Founder of LIFT
I have lived in North Edinburgh for 55 years and worked in the Voluntary Sector for 24 years, LIFT started 2 years ago when I realised that we needed to offer a holistic Key working Model off support to families who didn’t fit into the criteria set by many projects.
Peter Airle – Project & Centre Director
Peter is the Manager of Muirhouse Millennium Centre and Director of LIFT

I has been working in the Millennium Centre since the centre opened 20 years ago. I have worked in the greater Pilton and North Edinburgh for many years, I worked as a youth worker, developing onto manager of the Millennium and now I am the director of LIFT.

Peter is a much loved and highly respected figure in the community
Danielle Leadbetter - LIFT Manager
Danielle is the LIFT manager; she oversees the running of LIFT on a daily basis. Managing staff job roles, offering support and Advocacy to clients, supports her staff to ensure they are safe in the work environment particularly during COVID.

Hi I am Danielle, single mum too 2 girls. In my spare time I love to spend time with family and friends. I do also like a cheeky night out.
Heather Thorburn - Family Support Manager
​
Family Support manager, she oversees the running of the Family Support team. Distributing referrals for family support to the relevant worker, Heather is a bundle off knowledge when it comes to benefits and universal credits. She offers a full Action plan and care package to her clients

I'm a caring hard working person, I have three boys who I spend most of my time with, I like meeting up with friends, going long drives also very passionate about my job.
Racheal Gardner - Senior Family Support Worker

Rachael is the Senior Family Support worker in LIFT. Rachael has excellent knowledge of homeless support and she has first-hand knowledge of living in homeless accommodation, she also offers a holistic Key working model of support & Advocacy. Rachael can meet you wherever suits you best and will provide you with a full package off support again allowing you to choose the support which meets your needs

I am a mum to 2 beautiful kids, when I am not working I love to spend time with the kids going on days out. I also like going out and socialising with friends and family.
Susan Reynolds - Employability Support Worker
​
Susan is the newbie of the LIFT family support team, employability support service, helping to support clients to reduce the barriers to employment, looking to upskill, returning to training and education, etc.
Susan also offers a holistic Key working model of support, she is able to meet you in a place to suit and in due time will be offering a drop in service in various centre's in the North Edinburgh area.
Claire Baxter - Children and Families Support Worker
​
Claire is our creative, arty worker, Claire will be assisting Darcy in the running of the group work & Muirhouse Mini’s play and stay service. Clare will also be offering one – one support to the parents who attend the group work sessions. Claire will also be joining the Girls group every week offering arts and crafts, fun and games.
​
I am an out going but friendly person, I have two amazing girls, who absolutely love cheer leading so I spend most of my time cheering my girls on.
Darcy Hughes - Group and Children's Club Co-ordinator
​
Darcy is the Group work co-ordinator, she oversees all the group work, children clubs, homework clubs’ programmes to ensure the smooth running off all the activities on offer within the centre.
Darcy also offer a one – one service for parents who attend the group work sessions. Darcy also offers a holistic Key working model and will adapt the action plan and support package to meet the needs of her clients. Darcy will also be working with the Boys club

My names Darcy I’m 23 mum of one seven year old boy. I’m a rather chilled person and my favourite things to do is ask people what they are having for dinner.
Danielle Quinn - Girls Club Youth Worker

Danielle Oversees all of what the Girls clubs entail, activities, running fo the girls clubs following community guidelines.
